UV Tunnel- Product disinfection
UV tunnel devices are used in the food industry to sterilize containers. Cleaning the containers from microorganisms and reducing the microbial load directly impact the shelf life of the food product.

The use of ultraviolet (UV) radiation for disinfection is considered one of the safest and most natural methods. In fact, UV disinfection is not only recognized as a valuable and effective method but is also often used as a complement to other disinfection techniques. UV radiation is a pure disinfectant that leaves no residue and has extensive applications in the food industry, microbial population control, and maintaining microbial levels below hazardous thresholds.
This non-ionizing radiation exists in different types, with its effects appearing in wavelengths between 250-270 nanometers. UV radiation can limit the growth of major pathogenic bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Enterobacteriaceae, and especially Escherichia coli in food products.
